I'm relatively new to the world of shaving soaps. I have traditionally used shaving creams that had a bunch of chemicals with long names in them, and decided to go the more "natural" route, and liked the decidedly short list of ingredients in these soaps. I'm getting a lot better shaves, which I honestly didn't expect at first, because the soapy lather dissipates much quicker than the chemical poo-storm shaving creams, but the shave are amazing. And I'm not breaking out at all. I love this stuff!

I would highly recommend buying from the Mix and Match bundles plus the soaps are wonderful to use!

In the initial, few, times I used the soap so far, I’m impressed with the lather and very satisfied with the shave it provides. The real test will be how well it continues to lather as the bar is consumed. (My experience with other shaving soaps has been that many of them start out great, but as they become used, they produce less and less lather. Only time will tell how TalSheaCo holds up.)

In all areas of life, the elite have one thing in common: mastery of the basics and essentials. Old Whippersnapper is a master of the basics. I doubt you will find better cleansing products for your hair and body, so stop looking and start using Old Whippersnapper. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

It feels great. Lathers up thick and nice with very little amount. Cleans my hair well and leaves it soft after it drys. I will continue to buy this stuff because I like it.

I really like this shampoo it has worked so well on my dandruff. I was surprised when I first started to use it that it would work but now I know what shampoo I'm buying from now on 😁 Love this shampoo...

This pine tar soap is wonderful. Despite saying it has a manly scent, I luve its fragrance and I am a woman. I use it regularly to help with dry skin,ed\xcema, and other skin conditions I’re developed. It really helps relieve a lot of the redne, flaking skin, and irritation I used to deal with. I also use it as a shampoo and it keeps my scalp from the horrid itch it iused to have. It is gentle on my skin and scalp and really is healing.I love that it is made in small batches by a small family company which makes other types of soap. Am so happy to have found your site. I have severely dry hair and I decided to try this conditioner. Wow, was I amazed, my hair is so soft and moisturized now. Before I needed daily spray in conditioner just to get a brush through my hair. This product eliminated my need for that. I’m a very happy customer. Highly recommend. This is a superior product, better than anything from a salon or store.

Great products and service. One of the bar soap I ordered was under weight, so they sent an extra bar. Excellent customer service if you ask me. I love the minimal ingredients and simple natural handmade products. Keep it simple. Works for me.

Works as intended and all natural!

I ordered the pine tar, olde English lavender, carbolic, sulfur, and pure tallow soaps. Firstly, the order came quick: roughly one week after ordering. It was not only packaged with care, but it came with an extra tallow bar because a single one came out too small. For that alone this business deserves 5 stars, haha.

As for the soaps themselves, they are exactly as advertised! It's obvious they are made with great care and pride. This is my first ever order from Old Whippersnappers but it certainly won't be my last.

Pine tar: If you're expecting a soap similar to Dr. Squatch's pine tar soap, this is NOT for you. This is the real Mccoy! If you're familiar with Packer's or Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap, then this is more up your alley. If you're not a fan of the smell of those soaps, you will most certainly not love this one. It is stronger and smells more sooty. Packer's is more smokey. The other big difference is this is tallow based, so it lathers a little differently. Overall it's a great soap, although if I'm honest I prefer the smokey scent of Packer's

Sulfur: This one is comparable to Grandpa's Thylox soap. However, the sulfur scent is much more subdued in this soap which is very much appreciated. I bought this one because I struggle with acne on my chest and it helps with that. It seems to get used up a little quicker than Grandpa's thylox soap, though, so that's a bit of a downside. Otherwise a great soap

Olde English Lavender: This one is my favorite so far from Old Whippersnappers. It lathers and suds beautifully and the smell is divine! It always leaves my bathroom smelling fantastic, haha. However, don't expect the scent to linger on your skin. It goes away immediately after rinsing, so that's a minor downside. However, it leaves my skin feeling great!

Carbolic: As far as its function as a washing soap, it works just as well as the Olde English Lavender minus the smell. The smell... it's not for everyone. While pine tar is an acquired scent that people come to genuinely like, this scent is one you just get used to. I'm sure I've smelled it in antibiotic ointments or something similar before, and can't say I'm nostalgic for it, haha. I haven't been able to test its function as an antibiotic soap since I haven't cut or wounded myself enough to require it, but I'm sure it cuts the mustard. Overall this is probably my least favorite of the bunch, but it's not a bad soap

Tallow: This is as simple as soap gets, and that's a good thing! No scent and no exfoliation, just straight up lather. Since this one is pure tallow, it's a much less sudsy lather compared to the other soaps with tallow blends and lathers more like an Aleppo (castille) soap. Like I said, though, sometimes that's all you need and is perfect for folks with sensitive skin. Oh, and this one doesn't have that particular stench that's found in other tallow products. It's genuinely scentless!

Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase and look forward to trying out all of the other soaps as well as the shampoos and conditioners. I have a feeling the Lavender soap will continue to be my favorite, though, haha

I love this soap! Grease does not have a chance. If you have greasy hands and you wanna smell manly, buy this soap!
